Japan assures support to Sri Lanka

japanJapan will continue to support Sri Lanka in its development programs and strengthen maritime security, says the Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs Kazuyuki Nakane.
 
 
He said so during a special discussion with the State Minister of Defence, Ruwan Wijewardene, who is on a visit to Japan recently.
 
While speaking, State Minister Wijewardene congratulated the new Japanese Government that was re-elected at the general election and also expressed gratitude for the longstanding support of Japan towards the economic development of Sri Lanka.
 
He also appreciated the Japanese assistance towards strengthening of maritime security of Sri Lanka and the support rendered to the Sri Lanka Coast Guard.
