The special stamp and the first day cover, issued to mark the National Insurance Day, falls on the 1st of September were presented to President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (Sep. 31) at the President’s Official Residence.

 

Deputy Minister of Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs Dulip Wijesekara presented these to the President.


The steps were taken to declare Sep. 1 as the National Insurance Day according to a request made by the insurance corporations under Insurance Board of Sri Lanka.



Chairperson of the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka Mrs. Indrani Sugathadasa, and the Director General Mrs. Damayanthi Fernando were among those participated in this occasion.
